Charter Member of the Forensic & Business Valuation Division of the American Academy of Matrimonial Lawyers (AAML) Foundation
FCG member Steve Bravo has accepted an invitation to become a Charter Member of the Forensic & Business Valuation Division of the American Academy of Matrimonial Lawyers (AAML) Foundation. The division is open to professionals of national repute and integrity at the forefront in developing their profession, who have contributed to the development and improvement of the practice of matrimonial law, and have worked closely with Fellows of the AAML in complex forensic and business valuation cases. Membership is limited to 50 individuals.


FCG Member Firms are the Best 
FCG member Harold Martin served as a national instructor for the American Institute of CPAs “AICPA Expert Witness Skills Workshop,”  in Washington, D.C., on September 11-13, 2014.  Harold was also the Chair of the 15th Annual Virginia Society of CPAs Business Valuation, Fraud, and Litigation Services Conference, held in Richmond, Virginia, on September 18-19, 2014.

Ben Redman has joined FCG member firm Dixon Hughes Goodman LLP’s New York City office as a new partner and will lead the transaction advisory practice.

FCG member Jim Alerding will be speaking at the Minnesota Society of CPAs Business Valuation Conference on November 3 in two sessions – Minority Discount Methods and Simplifying Discounts for Lack of Marketability.

Jesus Torres, an associate consulting on the forensic, litigation and valuation services team of FCG Member Firm ParenteBeard, has passed the CPA exam. He is a graduate of Pennsylvania State University.

On August 15, 2014, FCG member Jim Koerber presented a CLE entitled "The Tricky Business of Business Valuations" (Plus, Divorce Tax & Financial Issues) to judges attending the Louisiana Judicial College, which was held at the Windsor Court Hotel in New Orleans, Louisiana.  On July 24, 2014, FCG member Rob King presented a program on “Valuation & Litigation Issues for CPAs and their Clients to Consider” to CPAs attending the Southwest Chapter of the Mississippi Society of CPAs’ Annual CPE Day. The seminar was held in Natchez, Mississippi. Jim and Rob are shareholders in The Koerber Company, PA in Hattiesburg, Mississippi.

Karolina Grabowicz of FCG member firm Mercer Capital has been awarded the Accredited in Business Valuation designation from the AICPA.

Jean Han, a member of the FCG member firm ParenteBeard’s forensic, litigation and valuation services group, has been named a partner in the firm. Her expertise is in matrimonial matters, business disputes, business valuation, forensic accounting, fraud investigation and estate and financial planning. A certified public accountant, certified in financial forensics and licensed attorney in New York and New Jersey, she holds a bachelor’s degree from New York University and a juris doctorate from Booklyn Law School.
